30 Week Appointment
Hi Ladies--
This morning I had my weekly appointment with my OB.
At 30 weeks plus a few days along, baby boy is 3 lbs., 10 oz. (within normal range) and his position is head down...after 3+ weeks of being in a transverse lie. In this photo, you can see his face with his left arm up along the left side of his face. He was fast asleep during the ultrasound and was quite well-behaved as the tech did all the measurements, etc. As of last week, my marginal placenta previa is no more and the placenta is now "high." How's that for change? Though, I'll still be delivering via c-section based on my medical/surgical history.
My vitals signs are decent...normal blood pressure **** 78) and maintaining same weight for nearly a month now. Total weight gain at 30 weeks is 20 lbs. My doctor (who I still adore) was very complimentary about the way I've been managing my weight. It's not easy task these days with my blood sugar nose-diving every 2 hours, but I'm trying to be sensible and not set myself up for having to lose even more weight post-baby. As I type this, my stomach is visably moving with the baby's activity and I am really savoring it.
T minus 8 weeks and 2 days...I'm so thrilled at the prospect of meeting our little boy!

Paula- that is great. Sounds like your little man is growing and everything is on track. I am glad that the placenta issue is resolving just for the sake of worrying. Sounds like you are doing great at keeping healthy. I have 9 weeks 1 day until I meet my lil girl- nothing is ready. YIKES- I keep thing 9 weeks isnt long- but then my legs feel like a million pounds and the leg cramps from hell- and then I say 9 more weeks. Keep up your hard work. Enjoy those kicks and wiggles, I know I missed them horribly at first.
Sounds like everything is going great! I am so happy for you! I think the last 8 weeks goes faster, it did for me anyway! I hope yours goes fast too! Don't worry too much about the weight gain I stressed myself out the whole time worried worried and worried some more and guess what at 2 and half weeks I have lost 39 of the 40lbs gained! So i worried and stressed for nothing!
Do savor the moment it is a miracle!!
Hugs
Beth
